In the beginning the Knothead Konvention was designed to promote fellowship, fun and merriment among all square dancers.

The requirements are simple.  Four couples or more must travel at least 100 miles to a dance and come home that same evening.

It used to be suggested that you rent a bus for your trip, but with the economy like it is  -  we are suggesting that, if you wish, you can caravan by car to make your Knothead trip.

First contact a club and ask if they will host your Knothead trip.  If the answer is yes, they will begin plans for your initiation.

Next, contact the Knothead office for a application.

If you need help in finding a club to visit  -  the Knothead staff will assist you.  The club caller or club officer where you visit  -  will sign the membership application and mail it to the Knothead office.

If your club is going to host the Knotheads and need assistance  -  the Knothead staff will assist you with ideas for the initiation.
